The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is set to resume the U-19 women's national cricket tournament. CAN has moved forward with plans to resume age group cricket activities in Nepal, which have been on hold for years.

CAN has begun preparations for the women's U-19 cricket tournament in the first phase. The competition, which will be held in the month of October with the participation of seven provinces, is being organized by CAN. Cricket competitions in the age group were halted in Nepal following the suspension of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Only a select group of players were invited to the camp to compete in various international tournaments because grassroots cricket hasn't been played in years. Can now intends to organize in both women's and men's U-19 cricket. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) will organize in U-19 for the first time after the appointment of a new working committee.

CAN had previously organized at both the men's and women's levels, but it is now concentrating on the age group competition. Nepal's U-19 men's team will be unable to compete in the upcoming World Cup. The women's team will almost certainly compete in World Cup qualifiers.

The women's U-19 cricket tournament will take place either in one of the place of Kathmandu or Far West.
