Nepal will not be able to compete in the World Cup for U-19 Men's Cricket next year.
Nepal's dream of playing has come to an end after the International Cricket Council (ICC) canceled the Asia selection for the U-19 Cricket World Cup. The ICC ruled out the Asia region on Wednesday night, citing the Corona pandemic as a reason.
The United States and East Asia Pacific have also been ruled out even for the selection by the ICC.
Canada from the United States and Papua New Guinea from East Asia have been selected for the World Cup.
The regions of Europe and Africa will be selected in the midst of the Corona pandemic. The UAE was chosen from the Asia region based on its performance in five World Cup editions.
