Manu Sawhney, the Chief Executive Officer of the International Cricket Council (ICC), has been sacked.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has decided to remove him immediately. The ICC has appointed Geoff Allardice as acting chief as a result of his removal.
He was suspended in March after an internal investigation found him guilty. The ICC has decided to detain him pending the conclusion of the investigation.
Sawhney was suspended on the 9th of March for alleged indecent behavior towards his colleagues. Sawhney took over as CEO in 2019 after Dave Richardson stepped down. His term was set to end in 2022.
